About Dr. Neil Parikh

Dr. Neil Parikh is a radiation oncologist at the San Antonio Cancer Center. He uses his expertise and state-of-the-art technology to design the best, individualized treatment plans for his patients. He treats all types of cancers, with a special interest in prostate cancer, bladder cancer, breast cancer, brain cancer, spine cancer, and lung cancer.

Dr. Parikh completed his medical education at Baylor in Houston, TX. While he was attending medical school, he obtained his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Harvard Business School. During this time, he discovered a passion for treating cancer patients.

Dr. Parikh went on to complete a radiation oncology residency program at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles. The profession allows him to create lasting relationships with patients while fulfilling his love for math and physics. He spent the majority of his residency focusing on advanced technologies to treat cancer patients.

Dr. Parikh is passionate about providing personalized care to each patient he treats. He ensures his patients are educated about all of their treatment options so that they are comfortable with the plan they choose. He helps arm his patients with the knowledge they need based on the most recent and highest quality cancer research.

In addition, Dr. Parikh is an accomplished researcher in the study of radiation therapy for cancer treatment. His work has been published over a dozen times, including in the International Journal of Radiation, Oncology, Biology, and Physics.

When he isn’t working, Dr. Parikh enjoys spending time with his wife (who is a pediatric cardiologist) and two children. They love to explore local restaurants, play tennis, and root for Texas sports teams.
